
Dr. Meisami obtained her Bachelors of Science with honors at the University of Toronto, Victoria College in June 1988. She then attended the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto from 1988-1992, receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors. Dr. Meisami subsequently completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Toronto in 2001. She then moved to South Africa for a fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery at University of Witwatersrand, Carstenhoff Clinic.
She has trained and worked in diverse environments- from Toronto, to the Remote First Nation Communities in the Sioux region, to South Africa where she trained in the treatment of facial trauma- and now applies her background and wealth of knowledge to practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with a special passion and keen interest in the Treatment of Paediatric Surgery, Facial Trauma, Jaw Reconstruction and Orthognathic Surgery.
Dr. Meisami is an Active Staff Surgeon of the Department of Surgery at Etobicoke General Hospital, and Courtesy Staff Surgeon at North York General and Credit Valley Hospitals.
She is a fellow of Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Canadian Association Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
